Popular ayanamsas differ by up to 1°27′. That moves planets across sign edges and can shift your dasha dates by two years.

Ask three astrologers about the same kundli and you may hear three answers. JyotishiVani reads your chart by one documented, research-based method, tests every calculation against an independent reference, and lets Vani, your AI astrologer, explain it in your language.

The problem
Most disagreement starts before anyone interprets anything. Two readings usually differ because the chart was calculated differently, or because a different definition was used, and both can be fixed.
Popular ayanamsas differ by up to 1°27′. That moves planets across sign edges and can shift your dasha dates by two years.
At Delhi, Pisces rises in just 85 minutes. A rounded time can change your lagna, and the navamsa changes every 13 minutes or so.
By one common rule 42% of people are Manglik. By another, 88%. Same chart, different label.
A calculation bug is inherited by every reading built on it. And a frightening reading sells remedies.
The answer
For every question, Vani works through the steps an experienced astrologer follows, in the same order, and every finding rests on calculated facts. Change the astrologer, and the method stays the same.
The proof
We built AstroBench to test the app the way an experienced astrologer checks a junior’s work: hundreds of consultations, from one-line questions to long conversations, on charts chosen to be difficult. Every calculated value is compared with an independent reference, and every reading is held to what the classical texts say a careful astrologer must weigh.
99.7%
of 15,035 calculated values agreed with an independent reference
967 of 967
chart statements in Vani’s written answers were correct
15 of 15
questions about methods we don’t compute were declined, never invented

Where we are still improving: depth of interpretation, meaning answering the whole question with every factor an astrologer weighs. We publish what the benchmark finds and fix it in that order.

Questions
JyotishiVani is a Vedic astrology app for iPhone and Android. It calculates your kundli, divisional charts, dashas, transits, Sade Sati, yogas, doshas and daily panchang, matches charts for marriage, and lets you ask Vani, an AI astrologer, about any of it in English or eight Indian languages.
It reads every chart by one documented method instead of the opinion of whoever answers. The conventions are fixed and published (Lahiri ayanamsa, mean nodes, whole-sign houses), every calculation is tested against an independent reference, and nothing is stated that your birth time cannot support. There are no paid per-minute consultations, and nothing to buy: no remedies, gemstones or pujas.
Vani is an AI, and says so if you ask. It does not invent anything about your chart: every planet, house and period it mentions is calculated with Swiss Ephemeris precision and checked before you see it.
In our latest benchmark run (9 October 2026), 99.7% of 15,035 calculated values agreed with an independent reference calculation, and all 967 chart statements in Vani's answers were correct. The accuracy page explains what was tested and what we are still improving.
No, but it changes what can be said. A time good to an hour or two usually settles your Moon sign and nakshatra, and with them your dashas and Sade Sati; the date alone settles the Moon sign on only about half of all days. The lagna needs a time good to about 15 minutes, and divisional charts need more. The app tells you which insights your birth time unlocks, and never presents an uncertain value as fact.
Vani answers in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Gujarati. Tables and calculation details stay in English.
Birth details, names, messages and answers are encrypted in the database, and each account can only ever read its own rows. Location is approximate, rounded to about a kilometre. You can delete a saved person, a conversation or your whole account at any time.
Sign in with your phone number, add your birth details, and your kundli, dashas and today’s timings are ready in seconds.
